Is 2015 the year you want, not just to write your book, but to publish it? Here at Spark we have a number of experts on hand, editors and literary agents who have lots of experience in the publishing world, but what was missing from our line-up was someone with substantial self-publishing experience. For a while now, I’ve been looking for the right person to fill that gap, and now I’ve found her, I’d like to introduce her to you.
Siobhan Curham is an award-winning writer and coach, who has followed the still quite rare path of crossing over between the worlds of traditional publishing and the world of self-publishing. She has written books for adults, young adults and children – both fiction and non-fiction – and has publishing deals in the UK, France and Germany. Her YA series, Shipwrecked, is currently being developed for television. She self-published her first young adult novel, Dear Dylan, which went on to be winner of the Young Minds Book Award in 2010. With a foot in both camps, she is the ideal person to advise you on which option would be best for you. You can find out more about Siobhan on the Spark team page here – she is available for mentoring and for one to one coaching sessions.
